Measuring curtains is easy with our easy guide.
Simply choose the diagram below which best suits your window (i.e. with existing track or without track) and take the measurements shown for each of your windows.

Please state clearly whether you are measuring in centimetres or inches. Always use a steel tape when measuring, as fabric tapes can stretch.

Measurements to be taken in centimetres or inches
A From ceiling or underside of coving to top of track
B (pole) From underside of ring (below pole) to top of window recess
B (track) From top of track to top of window recess
C Of inside of window (down)
D From bottom of window to floor covering
E (pole) From underside of ring (below pole) to floor covering
E (track) From curtain track to floor covering
F Of overall width of track or if a pole inside finials*
G Of inside of window (across)
H From ceiling or underside of coving to top of window recess
I Of inside of window (down)
J From bottom of window to floor covering
K Of clear wall space to left side of your window
L Of inside of window
M Of clear wall space to the right side of your window
* note: all corded tracks and poles need an extra 4 ins (10cm) for overlaps and 2+4 ins for returns
